She completed her residency training at Arnold Palmer Hospital. Dr. Velarde met her husband as an undergraduate and they were married in 2014. They have two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Additionally, she enjoys teaching and volunteering in community health programs and quality improvement initiatives.
